ARC will be performing emergency maintenance to the Great Lakes HPC Cluster to correct an error on the /scratch file system. No other ARC storage services or clusters are affected.
The cluster and its storage system will be completely unavailable on March 14 at 7:30am. At this time, we expect the duration of the storage work to last four to five hours, expecting to be done by 2:00pm. All current jobs will have been completed by that time and no new jobs will start which cannot finish by the start of the maintenance. We will send an email when Great Lakes is back online. We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.

The initial scan is taking longer than initially estimated. We will update this page and the ITS Status Page when the file system scan completes.
